You will usually prepare lunch and dinner for the couple at approximately 12:00 and 18:00. There will also be occasional entertaining, including small family gatherings of around 8 people plus children, dinner parties or BBQs for 8–12 guests, and business lunches for up to 15–20 guests. The property also benefits from an outdoor kitchen with a teppanyaki grill, large BBQ, and wood fire pit.
A strong interest in health, nutrition, seasonality, and thoughtful menu planning is essential.
Key duties will include:
- Planning creative, seasonal, nutritious menus tailored to the family’s tastes and dietary requirements.
- Sourcing high-quality, local, seasonal, and home-grown ingredients where possible.
- Preparing and presenting lunch and dinner for the family, along with occasional guest catering and events.
- Catering for business lunches, family gatherings, BBQs, and formal dinner parties as required.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, well-stocked, and running to a high standard.
- Adapting to the family’s schedule, including some weekend work and occasional changes to plans.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Private Chef or within a high-end restaurant environment.
- A genuine passion for flavour, creativity, presentation, and high-quality ingredients.
- Strong knowledge of health-conscious, nutritious, and seasonal cooking.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and forward-planning skills.
- A flexible, discreet, and professional approach.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent references from previous employers.
Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: The clients travel extensively and are usually away for around two weeks each month. You will not be required to work when they are not in residence.
