Live out Private Chef job, in formal private household London
Our client, a family of three based in North West London (relocating to west/south west London in February 2018), are seeking an experienced private chef to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner five days per week. The ideal candidate for this job will have a flexible can do attitude and be friendly, outgoing and energetic.
The food they will be cooking will consist of the following but not be limited to;
A varied and creative breakfast daily for the two principals and one child
Lunch and snacks to be sent to the office daily for the gentleman
Lunch for the lady of the house and the staff
Fresh bread and cakes baked on a daily basis (gluten free/refined sugar free where possible)
Snacks and canapés for the principals when necessary, served at around 7pm
Dinner parties and events
Other duties in this job will include setting the table, serving and clearing up when need be. All aspects of kitchen management are required including washing up after meals and keeping the kitchen and refrigerators very clean at all times. The chef will need to write a weekly menu which is approved by the principals the week before and therefore the ideal candidate should be capable of forward thinking and planning in advance for unexpected guests and meal requirements. You will be responsible for all the shopping and ensuring there is adequate food in the house which where possible is ordered to be delivered by local suppliers.
The ideal candidate for this job will be flexible, positive and with a can do attitude and therefore happy to help out when required. This could include assisting with managing the house and be capable of driving the principals when necessary. You should like dogs and be available to walk them when necessary and cook food for them as well as some basic maintenance jobs and be happy to help out with any reasonable tasks.
It will be expected that this chef will help out with cleaning when necessary.
There will be occasional travel with the principal and may be away from home for periods of time.
Hours: 10 hour days - a flexible five day week and sometime days off will not be together. Any extra time off will be given in lieu.
Salary: Around £60,000 - £70,000 (Depending on experience)
