Resident Matron Job in Oxfordshire June or September start

This school is a family run preparatory school surrounded by beautiful grounds in the heart of rural Oxfordshire. They require a Matron to help the running of their boarding House.

 

The primary role of the Resident Matron is to provide care and create a homely atmosphere to the boys aged 12/13 years old. You will be part of a team with three other member of staff including two gap year students and a Houseparent.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Create a friendly and safe environment for the students

  • Organising the smooth running of the student’s laundry

  • Supervising shower times

  • Waking children up and supervise table manners and breakfast routine

  • Getting the students ready for bed, enforcing the night routine

  • Ensuring the student’s living place is kept tidy

 

The ideal candidate will be someone friendly and firm, have good organisational and IT skills, excellent work ethic and a great sense of humour to join in the fun and games with the school! A caring attitude is essential. Current DBS is essential. A candidate with a driving licence and own car is preferred.

 

Hours of work: you will mainly be on duty morning, evenings and weekends. (Exact hours to be confirmed).

 

Accommodation: full board accommodation with food provided free of charge. There is cooked breakfast week days, cooked lunches, salad bar and cooked evening meals and snacks.

 

Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
