As one of London's leading event caterers, they have been working alongside the UK & Europe’s most exclusive and prestigious venues for over 35 years. With a passion for design and attention to detail, they craft bespoke menus for every occasion, from exclusive seated dinners and canapé receptions to weddings and awards ceremonies. Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • You will be the senior member of the sales and events team, ensuring key client and venue relationships are maintained.

  • Drive sales and new business opportunities through marketing campaigns,

  • account management and event delivery.

  • Working closely with the Director of Sales, Operations and kitchen team, you will plan and execute certain key events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the whole sales process from enquiry to conversion.

  • Assist with recruiting and growing the sales and events team.

  • Assist in managing and mentoring the sales team to achieve their KPIs and targets.

  • Work closely with the operations team to design and deliver spectacular events.

  • Account manage venues, clients and agency relationships.

  • Organise and attend client meetings, tastings, showcases and networking events.

  • Support Director of Sales & Events and MD to drive sales and new business through marketing campaigns and incentives.

  • Design competitive seasonal catering proposals for key venues

  • Seek and attend industry networking events to gather new business opportunities.

  • Support with researching and developing strategies for targeting high value clients and venues.

  • Engage regularly with both key and lapsed clients, venues and agents.

  • Maintain a good level of repeat business through ongoing client relationship management.

Financial Management

  • Ensure event deposit invoices and booking forms are raised within a timely manner.

  • Chase deposit payments upon receipt of signed booking forms.

  • Ensure all supplier invoices for commission and or additional event extras are uploaded, processed and signed off with accounts.

  • Manage and collect debts and report regularly on the current position of your individual events and raise concerns early.

  • Ensure successful financial delivery of all events.

  • End of month budget control and cost reconciliation of events.

Person Specification:

As Senior Sales & Events Manager, you will:

Be a natural people-person with a passion for events.

Previous experience in catering or event venue sales.

Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Strong negotiation skills.

Proven sales experience working as part of a team to deliver on business objectives.

Great sense of initiative and excellent connections within the industry.

Well presented, personable and creative.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and deadlines, delivering multiple events on time and to budget.

Location: Battersea

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 GPA (DOE)
