A prestigious private member's club with two restaurants, various bars and function rooms has an opportunity for a professional Senior Sous Chef. You will be a leader with the enthusiasm and charisma to inspire your team. You will have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and strong work ethics.
The Sous Chef role will include management of the kitchen when the head chef is absent, running functions, supplier ordering, call orders, food safety and staff supervision / development, as well as any other duties or tasks related to the running of a busy kitchen. You will be working closely with the Head Chef to further improve the department's quality and service levels, while also assisting with HACCP, the implementation of H&S procedures, and ensuring that the kitchen is clean and meets safety standards at all times.
Key requirements for the Sous Chef role are:
*Previous experience within a busy kitchen
*Good Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and H&S Requirements
*Ability to work within a team as well as on their own
*Previous staff supervision preferred
*Flexibility to work unsocial hours to meet the needs of the business
*A conscientious, flexible 'can-do' working style
*Good social and interpersonal skills
*A desire to learn and progress the role and be able to lead by example
*4 days on, 3 days off
*A strong work ethic and the ability to use initiative
Salary: £32,000 plus end of year bonus (approx. £2,000 bonus)
This role is only a one year contract till December 2018 so Ideal for someone who is looking for an interim or promotion before their next permanent role
