This is a demanding but rewarding role with responsibility for the catering in their flagship chalet. You will work alongside the head chef to deliver service of the highest possible standard.


Assisting the Head Chef in their flagship chalet your duties will involve:

  • Menu design, planning and costing with close attention to budgets

  • Shopping: online ordering of supplies, visiting local suppliers

  • Managing stock in your kitchen

  • Preparation and service of breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés, five course evening meal, petit fours , ski room snacks, and transfer picnics

  • Catering for children and nannies

  • Planning and preparation of staff meals

  • Catering for guests special dietary requirements and allergies

  • Catering for special occasions and guests wows

  • Food hygiene and general health and safety in the kitchen and dining areas

  • Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and presentable, logging fridge temperatures and observing fridge and freezer rules

  • Assisting with the maintenance of all kitchen facilities and equipment

  • Opening up and closing down the chalet


We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a fine dining Rosette or Michelin star restaurant but who is still wanting to learn more from the head chef. Good interpersonal skills and a positive, flexible and adaptable attitude is essential with a sense of fun and willingness to help out other chalets if needed. Knowledge of ski resort / season life would be hugely beneficial.
