We have a Sous Chef Job for a party design and event catering company based in SW London. The company prides itself on their creative, highly personal approach and superb food.
This role will be for the tasting part of the kitchen. The Sous Chef will be working very closely with the Executive Chef to come up with new ideas and to work through everything with the clients. The Sous Chef will be highly organised and creative, as well as having strong communication skills. As well as the tasting kitchen, the Sous Chef will be working at the events. They will have a strong personality to fit in well with the existing team, and be capable of managing a group of staff for events. The candidate will need to work well in a team, as well as autonomously, managing their time independently but also overseeing the tasks and work of their team, including the other Sous Chef. Creating a good relationship with the other Sous is essential.
The right candidate will be creative, good at coming up with ideas, and willing to push boundaries and learn new methods and skills. They will need to be able to generate respect from the other members of the team with a good nature and good people skills. Reliability, flexibility with hours, a hard working attitude and proactivity are all key characteristics for candidates in this role.

For this role, they will take a Sous Chef who already has the necessary experience, or they would be looking to take a Chef de Partie, who is lokoing for the next step up.
Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30-16.30, with evenings and weekends when required, which are paid at overtime.
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 gross per annum basic, with overtime and bonus
Package: 20 days holiday for the first two years, and then one day for every year that they have worked up to 30 days.
