We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join a highly prestigious, ever-expanding events company in London.

You will develop new business opportunities and drive sales to reach and exceed the company’s annual revenue targets so our ideal candidate will be a hands-on go-getter ready to grow the brand in new and existing markets.


As the Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop new business sales strategy along with the Director of Events and Marketing

  • Proactively evaluate and identify new business opportunities within new sectors

  • Provide impeccable, business-aligned service at all times, demonstrating a return on investments through increased market share and sales revenue

  • Create proposals and business pitches as and when required

  • Manage and forecast budget spend allocation for new business

  • Assist the Marketing department to develop new marketing materials to support new business

  • Fully map and research the company’s current market sectors and identify growth within existing markets

  • Lead generation and cold calling of prospective customers

  • Attend tastings, meetings and events twice a week in order to build good relationships with clients and partner venues

  • Provide weekly updates to the Director of Events and Marketing

  • Ensure that the company is perceives as a market-leading supplier that is easy and pleasant to do business with



The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business who is used to working to targets, and experience in increasing revenue through generation of leads

  • Excellent networking skills

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Ability to analyze sales figures and write reports

  • Ability to take initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch

  • Ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals

  • Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the impeccable use of English (written and verbal)



Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Commission bringing it to £60,000
