A client of ours - a farm restaurant and café in Buckinghamshire – is looking for a Chef de Partie to join their barn kitchen team. The venue is housed in an idyllic 40-acre farm, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and combines restaurant and cafe, farm shop and nursery. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Chef de Partie looking to develop their skills and bring in new dishes within a collaborative environment and brand under a forward-thinking head chef and team. They work with the best suppliers using seasonal, British produce and are looking for an organised, responsible and motivated Chef de Partie with a positive and friendly attitude to assist in the general running of the kitchen. The business ethos is all about ‘plot to plate’ seasonal, sustainable, cooking, showcasing homegrown ingredients and top-notch local produce, in rustic but delicious dishes.

The role:

  • Ensuring that all company policies are adhered to
  • Running shifts and stations efficiently, effectively ensuring all duties and daily prep are completed within the time frames, and complying with all legislation regarding food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • Providing the highest levels of service
  • Maintaining company’s ethos and style

Essential skills/experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience at Chef de Partie level within a kitchen
  • 1+ years’ experience within a high-volume branded restaurant operation
  • Level-headed and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure
  • Passion for people and seasonal, local produce
  • Enthusiastic about working with top-quality ingredients in a creative way
  • Proactivity in important areas such as health and safety and food hygiene
  • Must be able to drive to work and have a car
  • Must live within Buckinghamshire area

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Applicants have experience working in a café or restaurant which cooks from scratch using basic ingredients
  • Applicants have experience working in pastry and preparing cakes


  • Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 GPA + tips
