Chef Jobs for The Championships, Wimbledon 2020 – two full weeks of well-paid work!

Calling all Chefs!  We have the privilege, again, of working with The Wimbledon Championships and we need you.  This is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and widely regarded as the most prestigious.  Which Chef doesn’t want to have the opportunity of cooking for some of the best tennis players in the world, and the guests that come to watch them?

The job is for Chefs de Partie (CDPs) who are passionate about food but first of all reliable, flexible and hardworking, who are able to work under pressure and have a previous experience in events.  The kitchens are incredibly varied and will be producing food for large numbers, but consistently of a very high standard.  There will be breakfasts, lunches, dinners covering all sorts of formats.  The Chefs need to be adaptable to this and able to work in all situations.  Additionally, you will be working with people from all sorts of life and cooking backgrounds, so it’s a great opportunity to network and learn from the other Chefs too.

In order to work in these teams, Chefs must be self-confident, with good communication skills, ability to interact with everyone, to be helpful in a busy kitchen and most importantly to be excited about this and enjoy a challenge.  It’s a great opportunity to get some experience and earn some good money!

Chefs will need to be consistent throughout the two weeks and must be able to commit to all dates from Saturday 27th June until Sunday 12th July.  You will be required to work on those days and the average hours are 10 hours per day.  There will be training from 18th June, which Chefs will be expected to attend as well, but the exact dates have not been confirmed.

Chefs must provide evidence of the relevant documentation entitling them to work in the UK.

Dates:  Saturday 27th June to Sunday 12th July 2020, plus training from Thursday 18th June 2020

Hours:  10 on average per day

Pay:  £12.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £13.50 on Saturdays and Sundays, plus tips (depending on kitchen)

Bonus:  if you complete the two full weeks, you will receive a bonus in vouchers worth £100
