Full time Cook in Kensington
A client from Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a cook for their household. You will be responsible for the planning, preparation and cooking of daily meals. You will also monitor and replenish food supplies and equipment for the household.
On a day-to-day basis you will prepare all meals for two principals, and, when required, family and guests. You will also be responsible for preparing lunch for a small team of staff. In this role you will also have the opportunity to cook for a variety of formal occasions.
As part of this small but busy housekeeping team, you will also undertake certain housekeeping duties to support the running of the household. This will include maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the kitchen areas.
The family like simple and traditional cuisine. They have no dietary requirements.
Possessing a City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent), you will have previous experience, ideally gained within a private household.
With excellent organisational and timekeeping skills, you are able to plan and prepare menus within an agreed budget.
You will have an exceptional eye for detail and will be committed to providing high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Self-motivated and pro-active, you will possess an enthusiastic and hands-on attitude to work.
You will enjoy working as part of a small team but can also work well independently and with initiative and confidence.
With the ability to work calmly under pressure, you will possess a friendly and positive nature.
Hours: 10am till 5pm with flexibility. (30 hours per week)
Working days: Monday to Friday
Rate: £20K- £22K Depending on experience.
