Hotel Management Couple Job

 

 

Greycoat Lumleys client are seeking a Management Couple for a large Fishing Hotel in Sutherland, the North of Scotland.

 

The Hotel is set among some of the Highlands most iconic Salmon rivers. Guests are fishing parties, families, cyclists, hillwalkers and motorists

 

The successful couple must have experience of running a busy Hotel and delivering exceptional customer service on all aspects of accommodation, food and beverage to a discerning clientele. They will have passion together with

the ability to build and coach the team to deliver an outstanding and unique experience to every guest.

 

Main Duties:

 

  • Positive leaders and role models who will uphold the company’s values and encourage teamwork amongst the staff

  • Co-ordinate and drive the team to promote the business, focus on the customer and try to exceed customer expectations

  • Recruit and manage seasonal staff during months that hotel is open for guests (March - September) (bar staff, housekeepers, and contractors)

  • Deal with bookings

  • Meet and greet guests

  • Be able to create food and drink offers in all bar meals, breakfasts, buffet packed lunches and dinners

  • Manage stocks of food and beverages

  • Develop and co-ordinate all kitchen operations, food menu development, as well as bar operations

  • Manage the cleaning of all areas of the hotel to a high standard

  • Communicate information to the Board with regard to issues that may impact on the performance

  • Co-ordinate all communications from the Board to the team

  • Strong IT skills in -- social media and excel - liaise with internet and web site providers

  • Work well with the Board and manage the business according to the agreed budgets and outlines

  • Manage any and all maintenance and building works during months that the hotel is closed to guests

  • Deal directly with river and loch managers

  • Understand how to operate a biomass heating system and borehole water reservoir

  • Preparing the hotel and its assets for the out of season close down period

 

The hotel is in a rural location so the couple must be capable of being resourceful and adaptability.

 

Accommodation: 3 bedroom self-contained cottage - partially furnished

Utility bills and council tax are covered

Mileage for using own car

 

Salary: Excellent + 5% pension
