Couple Job Argyll Scotland
Greycoat Lumley’s client have an exceptional opportunity for an enterprising couple in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland. The jobs are varied and flexible, including housekeeping and catering, estate and woodland activities, and work in the privately owned Distillery.
The opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, self-starting couple to join the team running the diversified Private Estate and associated new distillery within the grounds. The work is varied and the couple will play a key part in realising the aspirations of both enterprises to create a sustainable future for their teams and the small community of which they form an important part.
Initially the work will be the equivalent of 1full-time and 1 part time role with the expectation that it will expand to 2 full-time jobs.
Specific responsibilities, which may be allocated between the couple according to preference and skills:
A variety of activities associated involved in the distillation, maturation and bottling of the single malt whisky.
Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
Care for two let holiday cottages, including changeovers and customer care
Support for housekeeping and catering in the main house when let and when musical events are taking place at the former chapel on the Estate
Future opportunities include additional work at the distillery as visitor numbers grow and the sale of whisky commences in 2020 as well as expansion of visitor activity on the Estate.

Desirable skills - tractor driving and plant operation, chainsaw certificate, spraying certificate, gun licence
The couple taking these roles will join an enthusiastic and close-knit team, which also plays a key role in the small local community. The estate is at the end of a long single road which has a general store, petrol station and highly rated primary school. The nearest towns 1½ to 2 hours away.
A full driving licence is required for both candidates
