Caretaker / Houseman & Housekeeper / Nanny Job Derbyshire
(54771) A busy large family home with two children and three dogs in Derbyshire requires a live-in domestic couple.
One member of the successful couple must have a full clean driving license (but if both did, this would be an advantage).
Must be dog and children lovers, friendly, flexible but very discrete and enjoy the country life as the property is on the edge of town although there are easy links into Manchester, Chesterfield and Sheffield.
Housekeeper & Nanny Duties
The care of a three and four-year-old (who both attend nursery most days during term time).
Dropping and collecting children at/from school/nursery.
Daily household cleaning and laundry to ensure the house is neat and tidy.
Babysitting once a week, with the very occasional overnight if the principal goes away on business. (All babysitting will be paid as overtime or, if possible, time off in lieu by mutual agreement).
Cooking meals for the children
Occasional preparing of meals for the principle and guests.
Occasional serving at parties / dinner parties.
Caretaker / Houseman Duties
To assist with daily household cleaning and laundry to ensure the house is neat and tidy.
Care of silver and antiques.
Answering the gates (via intercom), the door and the phone.
Collecting the post.
Clearing old fires, relaying new ones. Filling log baskets and coal scuttles.
Simple household maintenance duties (light bulbs, fuses and very minor repairs) / Gardener employed
Organising quotes from trades for larger repairs.
Occasional chauffeuring duties and running errands locally.
Occasional assistance with clay pigeon shooting and serving at parties/dining.
Occasional preparing of meals in conjunction with the housekeeper/nanny.
To feed and exercise the dogs if the gardener/groundsman (who usually cares for them) is away.
Preparing shopping lists required for the household (including groceries).
Managing the wine cellar.
The Couple must be prepared to travel with the family on family holidays abroad for up to four weeks a year.
Working hours are flexible but would cover 40 hours per week over Monday to Friday with flexibility on evenings and weekends – ideally to cover from 7am to 6pm with a break during the day – the couple can work staggered hours to suit
Package for the successful couple
£50,000 gross per annum plus pension plus dedicated use of 4x4 company car (for business and private mileage) plus a fully furnished one-bedroom detached coach house (within the grounds) including all utilities, firewood for log burner and council tax bills.
Modern uniforms will be provided for the roles.
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay and both successful applicants will have an Enhanced DBS check.
