We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our clients’ team as Director of Banqueting and Events. Our colleagues possess an intuitive service style that reflects the ethos and luxury of the resort. The person in this role will be a creative individual with an in depth knowledge of current industry trends with the ability to lead a team in providing the flawless service our clients’ guests expect.

As Director of Banqueting Operations and Events you will:

  • See to the overall success of the Banquets and Events department through collaboration with the Sales and Culinary teams

  • Assist the team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth

  • Be collaborative and creative in thinking of ways to convert potential business with innovative, unique and exciting ideas

  • Demonstrate knowledge by leading the team to accomplish daily goals and targets

  • Ensure our colleagues are nurtured and challenged within their roles to ensure peak performance

  • Continually developing the product and the guest service proposition at the resort to ensure it is positioned as a market leader

  • Ensure a highly effective operation, delivery of service excellence, maximising revenue and profitability across all areas in line with budget expectations

  • Running the operation and be responsible for taking the event from coordination and executing the event

 

Successful candidates for this job will:

  • Have luxury 5 star experience within a similar role

  • Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and take a proactive hands on role in order to identify and support colleagues on all levels

  • Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service

  • Be fluent in spoken and written English

  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with high expectation guests

  • Have experience of running high volume weddings and events in a luxury environment

  • Be commercially astute and have solid financial awareness

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
