Gardener / Handyman Job Burton on Trent Staffordshire

Our client is looking for an experienced Gardener / Handyman to take on a full-time role to start asap.  You will have had previous experience working on a private estate and be happy to work as part of a small team of general estate and household staff.  The property has 26 acres in total with grazing land and also gardens surrounding the house.  This will be a varied role and needs someone who is proactive, someone who can manage their own time and also make suggestions as to possible projects and improvements that can be made.  

There has been a certain amount of building work and developments going on around the property so some areas will need landscaping and redevelopment so you will need to be able to come up with ideas and suggestions on planting and long-term care.

The role will include:

General maintenance gardening, design, planting, hedge cutting, leaf clearing and other normal seasonal jobs

Care of lawns, use of ride on mower

Jet washing

General property and estate maintenance

Dealing with and organising other contractors and trades

Care of garden machinery and other tools

Cleaning and maintenance of the dog run

Experience driving tractors would also be an advantage

The role will be full-time normally Monday to Friday
