India Governess Job

 

We require a Governess or Nanny (full time) for a highly reputed family in Worli, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Nanny should take care of children aged 5 and 7 years. The Nanny / Governess should have Studied degree college and should be able to help children in their studies.

 

DUTIES

  • Care, guidance and management of the children

  • Pro-active role in planning all activities

  • Develops the children's independence i.e. Helps them manage personal belongings bedrooms, play areas, school work as well as family, personal and leisure time

  • Ensures, manages and promotes the children's health, safety and hygiene

  • Manages education (including tutors) communications with school, progress reporting and assessment

 

ROUTINES

  • Prepare the children for school ensuring the children take responsibility for their bags, books, equipment and food are ready as required as well as prepare the children for family, personal and leisure time.

  • Ferry the kids from home to school and vice-versa.

  • Ensure appropriate scheduling of tutors lessons, extra-curricular activities, leisure activities and play School and Education Duties:

  • School collection daily

  • Liaison with the children's school in all matters

  • Maintains full progress reports

  • Weekly report to parents on school progress

  • Represents the family as required in all parent / teacher (Friends of the School) events and activities

  • Ensure the effectiveness and performance of the tutors and oversees their teaching, planning and progress assessment

  • Coordinates all other external learning activities and opportunities

  • Pro-actively seeks out, coordinates and manages attendance for additional learning opportunities such as concerts, theatre, museums, exhibitions and similar events

  • Establish and develop the children's personal skills and responsibility for petty money management

  • English speaking to native level

  • Academic background and extensive experience

  • Resourceful and professional

  • Proactive and organized

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • The basic hours of work for the Employee under this agreement are 12 hours a day, 6 days per week during the entire period of employment

 

ACCOMODATION

  • live in or separate flat provided and catered by the Principal

 

SALARY

  • Very negotiable a Competitive package.
