Our client, an ever-expanding prestigious catering and events company spread across London and Surrey, have an amazing role for a Group Development Director. We are looking for a strong Director who will be ready to take their next step forward into a Managing Directors role as the current MD prepares to move into the Chairman role in the next 12 – 18 months.

About the Role:

  • An exciting role for a Group Development Director, reporting directly to the Managing Director, who you will be assisting and preparing to take over from as he gets ready to step up to Chairman.

  • This is a floating role, and you will travel between all outlets and brands scattered across London and Surrey, so driving is a necessity.

  • You will do a 360 degree strategic review of all 6 of our clients brands ranging from elaborate events, corporate and private entertainment, bespoke black tie occasions and conferences, elaborate corporate Christmas parties, air shows and sporting events, and weddings.

  • You will assist and lead in the cross-selling of all our clients brands, linking them in order to maximize business development opportunities.

  • This role is extremely focused on brand development, and you will be needing to constantly come up with new and exciting strategies in order to keep the Group ahead of game in the UK’s Events scene.

  • This is an ever-expanding role, with plans to acquire more brands, therefore the ideal candidate will be a whizz kid in the Hospitality Industry able to take the Group to the next level.


About You:

  • The ideal candidate will be extremely passionate, and business minded, and ready to strategize and keep our clients company ahead of the game.

  • You will want to progress into a Managing Director role, therefore, possessing extremely strong operational and management skills, able to build and lead a strong team.

  • You will be a seasoned leader with at least 10 years of experience in a strategic business management role, with ample experience in customer engagement.

  • You have be analytically minded, quick to come up with creative, smart ways to steer the Group in the right direction while growing each brand individually, while at the same tine linking the brands in order to maximize business development opportunities.

  • You will be familiar with the London Events scene and have an excellent knowledge of current trends in the industry, ensuring the Group stays ahead of the game in UK events.

  • Excellent communication, people and leadership skills as you will have at least 6 Brand MD’s reporting directly to you.

  • A 4 year college degree, or equivalent qualification such as an MBA is necessary.


Salary: £100,000 Base with £20,000 Bonus going up to £160,000 in the MD role in the next 12 to 18 Months.
