One of our clients - one of the UK's most prestigious schools is looking to recruit a Hospitality Coordinator to coordinate all aspects of the school's internal events and to ensure that the catering requirements of external events are delivered. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues across the catering team and to ensure that all hospitality services are customer focused, delivered efficiently and in line with catering service standards. The role involves working with the Hospitality Manager and Catering team, event execution and noting information for charging. This role is very hands on and will require flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine passion for high quality service at all times.

The Role:

• Liaise between different event organisers and managers within the Catering Department to ensure all administrative requirements are completed.

• Assist with preparing function sheets that detail all the event organisers’ requirements and keep these up to date on the online booking system.

• Manage the internal booking system ensuring the correct requirements are delivered in a timely manner as per customer request.

• Ensure staff are well briefed at all times.

• Assist with operational planning for events, including ordering equipment, liaising closely with customers and Catering team colleagues.

• Assist with the day-to-day management of the on-line function’s diary.

• Prioritise workload to balance conflicting priorities and ensure that all deadlines are achieved.

• Assist with internal catering requests received via the School booking service, and pro-actively deal with requests and queries in order to provide a responsive and professional service.

• Responsible for setting up and clearing away hospitality in various locations across the Harrow School estate.


▪ Have a good standard of general education.

▪ Have a confident level of proficiency in the use of ICT, including Word, Excel and Outlook for email and calendar management.

▪ Hold a full driving licence (manual).

▪ Have experience of working in a front-line, customer-facing environment.

▪ Have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to continue calmly whilst under pressure

▪ Have great organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and work quickly and efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met, irrespective of conflicting priorities.

▪ Have the ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and of diverse backgrounds.

▪ Are diplomatic, with the ability to deal with confidently with customers.

Salary:  £17,205GPA (term time only role)

Hours: An average of 40 hours per week, Term time only - working 33 weeks per year
