House Manager Role for Central London Residence

 

A House Manager position has become available for a family living in central London. The principals have properties in the USA, Canada and Australia and so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to travel for up to 6 weeks at a time. As well as being professional, proactive and personable, you will also be comfortable around dogs and cats, as the family have pets in their property in Australia.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the day-to-day running of the property

  • Overseeing and organising dinner parties and social occasions, including hiring temporary staff as and when required

  • Maintenance of a high standard of presentation throughout the home

  • Laundry and wardrobe management

  • Organising and packing for overseas travel

  • General facilities management, ensuring the property is always in full working order

  • Shopping for the family, making restaurant and hotel bookings and running errands

  • Overseeing the cleaning staff and other subcontractors entering the property

  • Liaising with the principal’s PA based in Australia

Key Requirements and Desirable Attributes

  • Exceptional level of discretion and understanding of confidentiality

  • Ability to use initiative and respond proactively to changing situations and ad hoc requests

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to follow orders swiftly and efficiently

 

Start date – ASAP

Live in or out – live out, although accommodation will be provided when overseas

Salary – £45-60K GPA depending on experience

Hours – Full time with flexibility depending on travel
