House Manager/PA Role 

Great opportunity to support the work of someone who is dedicating their life to making the world a better place.

The main aim of the role is to free up time for the principal so that he can focus on professional objectives. The role has responsibilities that span PA work and House Management with an estimated time split of 60% PA and 40% House management

PA Responsibilities:

Communications - preserve focus for the principle by managing 3 inboxes. Organise and declutter emails by highlighting important emails. Pre-drafting responses. 

Time management - manage the calendar of the principal to ensure that the calendar stays in good shape for focus

Logistics - Arrange any travel logistics for international meetings or overnight stays in the UK

Expenses/procurement - As necessary using a company card procure any work-related items for the office set up

Planning events - co-ordinate logistics for annual team meeting (usually in North Devon but possibly in Colorado) 

House Management responsibilities:

Coordinate contractors - Liaise with and coordinate contractors who are working for the household. E.g cleaner, Nanny, window cleaner, decorator etc. Ensure pay is promptly dealt with and standards are to the required level.

Manage house admin - Home & car insurance renewals are tracked. Vehicle tax is paid. Life insurance is reviewed. Passports and drivers licenses are in date. Nursery fees are paid on time. House filling is in order. Vehicle maintenance is scheduled. Utilities are paid.

Obtain quotes for work - Liaise with contractors to get quotes for work on the property

Procurement - In co-ordination with the wife of the principal ensure the house is well stocked

Maintain family calendar - In coordination with the principal and his wife maintain a family calendar that is well organised.

Budgeting - In coordination with the principal track spending against budget 

The household is informal. The principal and his wife have three young children and live in an idyllic rural setting in North Devon 12 minutes from the beach.

The role is a live out role. Two days a week at the house otherwise the role is remote.

Salary on offer is £40k - £47.5k GPA

Relocation payment of £2K available to cover moving expenses
