Live in Housekeeper / Companion in Westerham, Kent.

Our client is looking for a caring and friendly, and proactive housekeeper for a dual role. The role will involve three to four hours a day housekeeping and companionship to an 82 year old widower who is sharp and sociable. You role will also include driving the gentleman to appointments, out to lunch, enjoying a cup of tea and chatting or assisting with life admin. 

The other time during your 8 hour shift will be spent at the main house which is a two minute walk away. Housing 2 adults and 4 children, this property requires someone who keeps the place ticking over. You will be experienced in cleaning marble and fine furnishings. Your daily tasks will include washing, ironing and organising. You will not be required to cook or do any childcare in this house.

You will be provided with a lovely flat that includes a sitting room, kitchen, bedroom  and bedroom. Partners will be considered but unfortunately, no pets.

 Duties will include:

• Cleaning and organisation of the house
• Companionship - driving to appointments, taking out for lunch etc
• Preparing light lunches
• Having a good knowledge of the cleaning of marble, fine fabrics, fine arts and different woods.
• Vacuuming, polishing and dusting
• Laundry and Ironing
• Changing of bedroom linens
• Greeting guests for corporate entertaining in large house (desirable but not necessary) 
• General ad hoc duties

You will need to drive and have your own car

Hours: 40 hours a week

Salary: £35,000 GPA

Accommodation: One bedroom flat, newly refurbished, attached to house with separate entrance. The flat is large enough to house a couple, sorry, no pets.
