Greycoat Lumleys are seeking a Housekeeper for their client’s estate within easy distance of Edinburgh (45mins). The privately owned Baronial home is a private venue for Weddings, they have very high standard of customer service and the property must be kept in immaculate condition at all times.

 

Responsible for coordinating and supervising the Housekeeping team and also have housekeeping duties within the house and cottage accommodation. You should have previous housekeeping experience and an eye for detail.

 

This is a hands-on role which needs someone who is flexible, who can work as part of a team, organise the small housekeeping team and have the ability to priorities workloads.

 

The primary function will be to manage the housekeeping team in order to maintain all accommodation to a high standard.

 

There are a total of 21 bedrooms between the main property and self-catering cottages. The property is set within large grounds and

 

  • Meet and greet guests

  • All housekeeping duties

  • Manage laundry room, wash and dry items required

  • Manage cleaning team and staff rotas

  • Support Event Staff in Weddings & Open Days

  • Occasional supply of breakfasts for guests

  • Make sure all accommodation is looking its best, reporting any maintenance issues to the Venue Manager

  • Make a weekly order of products needed for cleaning

  • Management of deep cleaning of apartments and during quiet periods

  • Proactively encourage team productivity and best practice whilst ensuring Health and Safety and COSHH standards are being met.

 

A family-run business and greatly appreciate team members who are willing to muck in and use initiative. A sense of humour and 'can-do' attitude are essential. 

 

Suitable candidates should use initiative and have a forward-thinking approach to operations and developments.

 

They will need to be highly organised and have a passion for working in the hotel or hospitality industry.

 

Start Date: December 2019

 

Hrs: 40 per week including some weekends

Overtime is paid or in lieu

 

Accommodation: On site with a garden

Rent free

All bills and council tax are paid by the housekeeper

 

Salary: £25,000 depending on experience
