A lovely housekeeper / caring position in

This lovely couple (both over 80 years old) are looking for an experienced, warm and caring Housekeeper / Carer. Their current Housekeeper / Carer has been called away to care for her own father and the couple are therefore in need of someone to provide temporary cover, which, depending on circumstances, may turn into a permanent role.

The role includes general carer duties – the couple are still quite mobile but need to be able to easily ask for help when needed.  A high level of attentiveness is essential especially for the male principal who has the start of dementia.  The female principal is less mobile and needs help with getting dressed and bathing.

Housekeeping duties include general cleaning and dusting, making beds, laying the table, washing up, laundry etc.  The couple employ a cook but the housekeeper would be responsible for preparing breakfast and warming up evening meals.

The successful candidate would also be required to organise the Ocado shop and welcome visitors.

Days and hours required are Monday to Friday, 9am to 12 noon and 3pm to 8pm. In the unlikely event of an emergency overnight they would also be required.

Accommodation when at the house is own room and bathroom on separate floor

A car would be provided for household duties however a driver is not essential.

There are no pets.
