We are working with a stunning girls school in Shropshire who believe passionately in the advantages of educating girls in a single sex environment. Their outstanding staff are specialists in the way girls learn

Their small classes and warm, friendly environment mean that that they know all their girls really well so they can anticipate and address the individual challenges they will meet in their journey from being little girls to impressive young women. Such security means that girls flourish.

They are looking for a matron to come and join their team from September 2022.

The role:

• To provide care and support for the boarders in the boarding house.
• Giving help and advice to students where appropriate while respecting confidentiality (within BSA and School Policy guidelines)
• Administering basic first aid within the house and liaising with the Medical Officer where necessary.
• Being aware and implementing the house security policies e.g. for visitors.
• Understanding the fire system and procedures and dealing with emergencies appropriately as they arise.
• Recording events in house duty/medical/accident books.
• To write end of term boarding reports for the students in your house.
• Assisting with internal activities for those not involved in weekend trips and organising some for after supper in the week.
• Oversee meals in the dining room.
• Assisting at house functions during the year. 

Start date: September 2021

Accommodation: Provided term time only

Position: Permanent / Full Time / Term Time (35 weeks) plus 3 half term weeks

Hours: Sunday to Thursday night shifts 4pm-9am and Sunday 9am – 4pm (there is possibility that the HOB will take an extra night shift)

Salary range: £21,769 - £26,502 depending on experience
