Live In Caretaking Couple Job


A lovely family are looking for a helpful and hardworking couple to assist them in their beautiful property in Buckinghamshire. There is the main house with 6 bedrooms and additional guests houses situated on 13 acres of land. There is a full time Head Gardener who takes care of the more formal areas of the property, but a helpful candidate who is happy to assist her when needed would be fantastic, someone who is confident with garden maintenance would be preferred. The family have two small dogs.


Duties to include but not limited to:


  • Garden Maintenance

  • DIY

  • Driving duties - airport runs / local errands / school pick up assistance

  • Vehicle / machinery maintenance -To keep warranty and service checks up to date

  • Dealing with contractors

  • Swimming pool care

  • To keep warranty checks on alarm and security systems up to date

  • Running errands

  • Front of house / greeting guests

  • Shopping / menu support

  • Assistance with family cooking / dinner party preparation

  • Prepare the house for guests

  • Housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Ironing

  • Animal care – 2 small dogs

  • Security of the property, when the family are away


This is a lovely role, the family have a flexible and positive outlook on employing domestic help and they very much take care of their employees. They are looking for a long term commitment and looking to replace their long standing current couple who are moving into retirement in November.


Start date: October / November

Accommodation: Newly refurbished bungalow on site with all bills included

Driving: Essential one is a driver – A car is provided

Salary: Negotiable for the right couple

Working week: Monday – Friday (with flexibility)
