Live in Cook/Housekeeper job
A relaxed couple in Notting Hill are seeking a proactive and friendly Live in Cook/Housekeeper to help them out.
Mum and dad have two children aged 15 and 11, but the eldest is at boarding school during term time. They also have a small sized dog.
Both parents work from home. They already employ a part time deep cleaner who works 3 full days each week to help you out. She also takes care of the family’s wardrobes.
Your daily duties will include:
- Assisting with housekeeping – keeping the house tidy, organised, dusting the antiques and helping with laundry & ironing. The house is very modern.
- Handling deliveries and liaising with contractors
- Dog walking – two short walks each day for 30 minutes
- Preparing meals for the family (3 of them) each day- the daughter is gluten free. You only need to prepare breakfast for the daughter who eats eggs, avocado and toast for example. Then lunch for the couple and dinner for the 3 of them. Mum will provide a list of foods they like and don’t like but they eat a variety of cuisines, all are healthy.
The family enjoy in particular Indian dishes once or twice a week. You must be able to come up with weekly menu plans so mum can do the weekly grocery shop. You will need to give her a list. You must be happy cooking for an occasion relaxed informal dinner party.
If you wish to travel with the family abroad 1-2 weeks a year they are very happy for you to, but this is not essential.
The ideal candidate will ask lots of questions, be an excellent communicator and someone who can manage their own time.
