Live in Couple Job, Suffolk

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and professional couple to take care of a beautiful 8 bed private residence with two detached guest cottages. There is also an outdoor pool, pool house and tennis court. This is the full time residence for the principals, and guests stay on average once a month. The property is situated within 50 acres of paddocks, lawns, and formal gardens. The ideal couple will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a similar role and work to a very high standard. 

Duties to include but not limited to:

Housekeeper

  • Cleaning, laundry, ironing and shoe cleaning for principals and any house guests
  • Display cut flower arrangements from the gardens
  • Arrange dry cleaning
  • Take deliveries, messages
  • Oversee internal tradesmen
  • Meal planning with principal, shopping (mainly online) for groceries for principals and their guests
  • Occasional informal cooking for the principals and house guests
  • Assist with larger dinner parties and other events occasionally
  • Supervise ad-hoc cleaning

Property Manager

  • Oversee the two gardeners and help where needed
  • Oversee security of the estate and act as first point of call for the alarm system 
  • General property maintenance and DIY
  • Manage petty cash
  • Arrange and oversee tradesmen (incl. window cleaning, pool)
  • Occasionally drive principals to/from airport/station/restaurant/etc
  • Clean and generally look after vehicles, arrange repairs/servicing
  • Maintain stock of logs for open fires, lay/light/clear when necessary
  • Monitor household supplies and re-order

Start date: As soon as possible

Working week: Monday - Friday, occasional weekend work when required

Accommodation: separate private furnished accommodation, all utilities included - No pets or dependents  - Non smokers 

Driving: Both candidates must hold full clean driving licenses 

Salary: £53 - £57k Gross combined
