Live In Gardener / Handyperson required to look after two properties for members of the same family who live within 1 mile of each other. This job is based about 10 miles east of Nottingham. The family are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term position and someone who can work on their own initiative and manage their own time. You will be working normally Monday to Friday covering 2 days per week for one property and then 3 days per week at another property locally in a form of job share.

Duties will be similar at both properties and the family are looking for someone who will be happy to be flexible in their attitude to their duties depending on the needs of each day / time of the year.

The first property is where the accommodation for the candidate will be based and you will be working with and additional Gardener at that property.

At the second property you will be sole gardener but working around other staff as it is a working farm.

The role will include:

Between the two properties you will be looking after a vegetable garden, herbaceous borders, lawns, a lake, greenhouses, woodland, hedges, borders and a walled garden. General handy person duties both inside and out of both properties

Occasional driving – airport runs, some evening driving, running errands

You need to be happy to work as part of a team as while you will have sole responsibility for your areas and duties, other staff are employed at both properties who you will have to coordinate with. The right candidate will have a flexible approach to their work, be cheerful, friendly but most importantly be professional and discreet as the family is very private.

Accommodation will be provided in the form of a 2 bedroom converted barn, reasonable utility bills covered by the employer - partners considered sorry no pets

Working week will be full-time normally Monday to Friday with some longer days in the summer depending on the gardening workload.
