Live in Head Gardener job, Oxfordshire

We have a great role for a Head Gardener to join a well established estate in beautiful location. This is a  great role for a team player, who works well others and has a positive and helpful attitude. You will be working alongside the estate managers, a maintenance man and supporting two under gardeners, to ensure the formal and informal areas are taken care of. The grounds consist of a mixture of woodlands, a walled kitchen garden, formal lawns and a heated green house.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Formal planting and seasonal changes
  • Formal lawns and borders
  • Tree management
  • Vegetable garden 
  • Exterior maintenance 
  • Logging for winter 
  • Ad hoc jobs around the estate 
  • Manage the budget and costing's 

You must have private household experience within a similar role. 

Start date: December or January 2021

Working week: Monday  - Friday 

Accommodation: 2 bedroom cottage, partner, dependents and dogs welcome. 

Salary: £30 - £35k Depending on experience.
