Live Out or Live In Estate Hand / Groundsman Job near Farnham , Surrey

A large 180-acre Equestrian Estate near Farnham in Surrey, are looking for an experienced Estate Hand / Groundsman to join their team.

You will be responsible for managing the following:

• Manage fields and woodland on the Estate
• Carrying out general outdoor maintenance (with scope to take on broader responsibility for coordination of maintenance activity on the Estate)
• Manage and maintain paddocks/fields, fences, hedges and woodland 
• Manage meadows for production of hay etc
• General (light) maintenance on the estate including fencing, drains, pathways/roadways, outbuildings, stables etc
• Coordination of external contractors for larger tasks

Qualifications:

• Proficient and qualified in operating light agricultural machinery - tractor, mowing, rolling, harrowing, hedge cutting, trailer towing, clearing of muck heap etc 
• Qualified in use of a chain saw for light woodland management
• Agricultural qualifications e.g. in pesticide use etc. an advantage

It is essential you hold a full, clean, driving license - as you may be called upon to do some occasional driving duties 

Accommodation: Two bed cottage on the Estate      

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 GPA

Start date: ASAP

Working Week – Monday to Friday
