Live In Nanny Job, Surrey, January 2022

A returning client to Greycoat Lumleys are looking for an active and committed live-in nanny to look after their three young children together with another live-in nanny. The children are 3 1/2 year old, 2 year old and 4 months old. The residence is fully staffed and you would live in your very own apartment (shared with another live-in nanny) in a beautiful country estate in Surrey. We are looking for a compassionate, honest and adaptable person who loves looking after young children and can easily fit into the family.

  • You’ll live in a sprawling country estate complete with a very large garden, pool, tennis court, veggie garden and animals close to Guildford, Surrey
  • Your very own private apartment within the family’s main house which you’ll share with our other nanny. You would have your own bedroom and share a bathroom and a kitchen/ living room with the other nanny.
  • monthly grocery budget on top of salary
  • 45h working week with two consecutive days off (Friday and Saturday off, Sunday is a work day)
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday: 10am-4pm, Sunday and Monday: 7am-8pm, Friday and Saturday off
  • Schedule will change slightly during school holiday breaks but days off stay the same
  • Very good English is a must, German or Turkish as additional language is a plus
  • Must be willing to be around house pets like dogs and cats
  • Must be willing to travel abroad with the family if required
  • Must be clean and tidy as you’ll share an apartment with our other nanny
  • Open to feedback, a quick learner and happy to adapt to our routines
  • Able to work in a team as we also employ a live-in housekeeper/ grounds keeper couple

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Predominantly looking after the baby during the day
  • Helping to get the older children ready for nursery/ school on Mondays and helping to get them to get to bed on days where you work till 8pm
  • Arrange and take children to activities on Sundays and during term break like play dates, soft play etc, manage their schedules independently
  • Come up with engaging activities for the children which should include learning and play activities, as well social activities (e.g. arrange playdates for the weekend)
  • Nursery drop-offs and pick-ups, reporting back to the parents on what nursery staff told them about the child’s day, behavior and any issues that may have arisen
  • If required, cook for the children and prepare purees for the baby
  • Bathing the children and preparing them for bed
  • All childcare-related housekeeping responsibilities including their laundry, tidying their rooms and toys, changing their bed sheets, re-stocking changing station, cleaning bottles and the kitchen after meal time and children’s food preparation (they do have a cleaner)
