A super family in California Pacific Palisades are looking for a collaborative fun nanny. The successful candidate will be joining a family caring for our client’s children, a girl nearly 6, 2 boys of 4 and 18 months and Mum is expecting a new baby this year. Extra help in the afternoons will be available and eventually another nanny to support 4 children will be employed. This is currently a shared charge role but Mum is going back to work so the role will be shared charge with extra help. A bright, positive and proactive individual will relish the opportunity to engage with the children and be a positive role model. Childcare experience within a similar situation is required, as is a great love of children. The successful candidate will be bright, articulate, hardworking and discreet.

 

Job Description

  • Hours: Full time; may vary from 7am - 7pm Monday to Friday, with some weekend work.

  • Salary: $800 to $1300per week

  • Location: California Pacific Palisades.

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Accommodation: Live in with own bedroom and bathroom, fairly private

  • Driver: Must be confident to drive in LA

 

Daily Duties

  • Daily care of children to include feeding, changing, bathing etc.

  • Buying, storing, cleaning and maintaining all necessary supplies and items for the children

  • Developing and executing a consistent feeding and sleeping schedule for the children

  • Communicating with the parents about the children’s schedule and well-being

  • Providing innovative and fun educational and intellectual stimulation - from taking the children to the park and museums to singing lullabies.

 

Experience/Skills/Characteristics

  • Experience with children newborn to 6/7 required

  • The candidate will be a fun educator and incorporate learning with play

  • Detailed knowledge and proficiency in child development

  • Candidate must have strong communication skills and regularly update the parents about the children’s schedule and well-being

  • Soft, gentle and positive nature is essential; the ideal candidate will be caring and loving

  • Must have strong work ethic and be comfortable working in a team environment

  • Diligent, consciousness and attentive to the family’s needs

  • Very proactive, energetic and responsible individual, who prides themselves on integrity and loyalty

  • Must have a valid passport or Green card for the States, although a visa can be applied for for the right person
