Special Needs Nanny Job, Putney, London.

Lovely family based in Putney are looking for a kind, patient and pro-active Special Needs Nanny to join their family. You would have sole charge of their 6 1/2 year old who has Autism and ADHD, previous experience and expertise in this field is essential.  He is not cognitively delayed, but is anxious and needs preparing for transitions - a nanny who has the ability to stay calm is imperative.

Because of his needs, the position requires someone energetic - he is very active and outdoorsy, so the family are looking for a nanny who can keep up, and organise things to keep him busy.

As the school run and various activities are not local, a confident driver is a essential. An automatic car will be provided.

The family are looking for someone to become part of the family and work as a team alongside them. The nanny will be able to follow and support the treatment plans determined by the parents and treatment professionals.  The right candidate will "muck in" with family life, running errands etc. A genuine interest in working with children with autism is a must.
