Pastry Sous Chef
Greycoat Lumleys’ client is a stunning boutique hotel in the Lake District. They are looking for a Pastry Sous Chef for their kitchen which serves a Michelin star restaurant as well as more casual dining. This is a superb opportunity to work in a privately owned 5* hotel committed to developing their staff and with a very experienced management team. You will also get the chance to work at the highest level of catering with a chef who likes to try new and innovative dishes.
Duties to include:-
Assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating menus and running service.
Running Pastry section in absence of Head Pastry chef.
Supervising and training junior chefs
Orders and stock rotation
Ensuring food safety and HAACP standards are kept
Minimising food wastage and maintaining GPs
Must have pastry experience in a high end fine dining environment. Must be a team player willing to take responsibility to maintain standards and drive the team. Must be ambitious with a desire to cook at the highest level.
