Greycoat Lumleys client , top event company in London, is looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join their team. 

The Company is forward thinking, creative and producing the best quality food in the industry. They cater for canape receptions, seated dinners and large-scale events.

As Senior Sous Chef you will therefore be creative and passionate about working with seasonal ingredients, be able to cook to the highest standards and be proactive in exceeding the highest expectations for our clients.

The key responsibilities of the Senior Sous Chef will be:

  • Working closely with the Kitchen Brigade to effectively run the kitchen

  • Daily supervising of the freelance and temporary chefs both at the kitchen and onsite at events.

  • Execute all events from small canapé receptions of 50 guests to large sit-down dinners up to 1,000 plus guests, to a high standard

  • Working within budgets and schedules as agreed for specific events with the MD

  • Responsible for daily due diligence procedures to include; recording deliveries, temperature records, health and safety, food safety

  • Develop new dishes, ideas and concepts for food service

  • Working on pre planning of events with the chefs, MD and Event Managers

  • Have an exceptional eye for detail with a real passion for food

  • Wide ranging knowledge of cuisine from around the world

  • To ensure all chefs are consistently following procedures

  • Capable of looking after client tastings

  • Managing time to ensure work is done efficiently

The ideal candidate will come from an event catering background and understand the upper end of the market. Excellent knowledge of all modern and cutting edge cooking methods combined with creativity and great attention to detail are essential.
