Greycoat Lumleys’ client is a stunning Michelin star restaurant in North Yorkshire. Long established as one of the finest restaurants in the North of England, they have a have 2 dining rooms and a private dining space, cooking classic food with a Nordic twist using the best of the seasonal produce from right on the doorstep. They are looking for a Sommelier to run wine service and manage a recently renovated wine cellar. This is an amazing opportunity to work at one of the country’s finest restaurants and learn from a senior management team who have been at the top of the industry for over 20 years.
Duties to include:-
Set up of dining rooms for service
Writing and maintain an interesting wine list
Maintaining good relationships with suppliers
Ensuring GP targets are met
Running wine service during lunch and dinner
Making recommendations to guests
Liaising with Head chef on wine matching with dishes
Must have experience in a high end fine dining environment. Must have a passion for food and seasonal produce and WSET level 3 or above.
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Working days: 5 days per week
