Sous Chef Live In or Live Out


Greycoat Lumleys’ client is a stunning boutique hotel in the centre of Inverness. They are looking for a Sous Chef for their kitchen which serves a superb 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a separate more casual dining area. This is a superb opportunity to work in a privately owned hotel committed to developing their staff and with an owner focused on staff welfare. You’ll also have the benefits of living in a city whilst having the amazing scenery of the Highlands right on your doorstep.


Duties to include:-

  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and running service.

  • Managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

  • Working alongside junior chefs, helping them to develop their skills.

  • Orders and stock rotation

  • Ensuring food safety and HAACP standards are kept

  • Minimising food wastage and maintaining GPs



Must have experience in a high end fine dining environment with a focus on local and seasonal produce. Must be driven to constantly improve themselves and those around them, helping motivate a team to be the best they can be. The hotel puts a big emphasis on working as a team so you must be willing to occasionally work outside your comfort zone to deliver the best experience for the guests.


Salary: £28k


Accommodation: Available close proximity to the hotel

Minimal rent
