Sous Chef Live In or Live Out
Greycoat Lumleys’ client is a stunning boutique hotel in the centre of Inverness. They are looking for a Sous Chef for their kitchen which serves a superb 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a separate more casual dining area. This is a superb opportunity to work in a privately owned hotel committed to developing their staff and with an owner focused on staff welfare. Duties to include:-
Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and running service.
Managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Working alongside junior chefs, helping them to develop their skills.
Orders and stock rotation
Ensuring food safety and HAACP standards are kept
Minimising food wastage and maintaining GPs
Must have experience in a high end fine dining environment with a focus on local and seasonal produce. Must be driven to constantly improve themselves and those around them, helping motivate a team to be the best they can be. The hotel puts a big emphasis on working as a team so you must be willing to occasionally work outside your comfort zone to deliver the best experience for the guests.
