A returning client of ours - a superb village pub in the South West of England - is currently looking for a Sous Chef, and other members of staff, to join their team.  This is a newly renovated and refurbed pub and is open in all its glory!  The pub is part of the village life and is known as well as a destination pub with walkers and foodies a like.  Offering excellent accommodation and delicious food, this is another fantastic place in the ever growing buzz of the South West.  The Sous Chef would work very closely with the Head Chef to run the kitchen on a day to day basis, planning the menus and maintaining the Rosettes that they already have!

The role:

  • Working as a Sous Chef in this award winning pub
  • Creating new dishes with the Head Chef
  • Producing rosette quality food for lunches and dinners
  • Working all year round to produce seasonal dishes, with locally sourced produce
  • Managing the team of staff and leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
  • Leading from the front and training and mentoring juniors


  • Are creative and love coming up with exciting new menu plans
  • Find passion in what you do and creating the food
  • Have previous experience as a Sous Chef
  • Are comfortable with administrative elements of being a Chef and are used to managing people
  • Enjoy cooking
  • Love working as part of a team and would be excited to join a brand new team in rebuilding this pub 
  • Have an eye for detail and are confident in what you do
  • Are positive and enthusiastic about the role
