Live In Couples Job - Ripon North Yorkshire - start ASAP - separate accommodation - £70,000 GPA
Our client is looking for an experienced Couple to take on a full-time role looking after a large period property in Ripon North Yorkshire. The household consists of 2 adults, a dog and occasional visiting family.
The property has 7 bedrooms although two are only ever in regular use and additional bedrooms used when they have visitors. There is another Housekeeper employed who will be travelling with the client as well as working with other members of the family but will be available to assist during busy times.
The property is extensive and also has a swimming pool, tennis court and around 2 acres of formal garden mainly laid to lawn and additional parkland/woodland.
The client is looking for a couple who can be proactive, self manage and who can take control of running the house and grounds.
Duties will include:
Hands on cleaning
Laundry and ironing
Care of antiques and fine fabrics
Wardrobe management
Household inventories
Running errands
Dog sitting when the clients are away
Helping when they entertain, meeting and greeting guests, serving drinks, tidying up in the kitchen although this is fairly informal
Maintaining the Pool and Tennis court
General Maintenance Gardening
Use and care of garden tools and machinery
General property maintenance both inside and out
Lawn mowing
Basic woodland work
Driving duties - occasional airport runs and evening driving locally
Care and maintenance of the household vehicles
The accommodation offered is best described as a 2 bed apartment within a separate building but adjacent to the main property - own separate entrance - Furnished or unfurnished - Bills covered buy the employer
Working hours will normally be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm but with flexibility needed for occasional evening and weekend work (driving and when entertaining) when time can be taken off in lieu.
