Live in Housekeeper / Cook / Companion Job near Waterloo, London
A lovely, friendly gentleman is looking for a Live in Housekeeper to help him run and care for his home and keep him company when he is in residence during the working week. He lives alone near Waterloo and recognises that he now needs more assistance than he used to after a series of operations to his knees and ankle that has affected his mobility. He continues to work in his office in Holborn full time. He has a full-time driver.
His week:
Weekdays Mon - Thurs:
Breakfast 8.30/9am.
Leaves for office 10.30/11am.
Returns around 5pm.
Dinner 7pm.
Weekends
Leaves for his Sussex country home on Friday, you may be required to travel to Sussex with him and settle him in and then return to London. He returns to London Sunday 6pm, often dropping in on family on the way home.
Duties will include:
Keeping his London flat in good order: Cleaning, laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, organisation and arranging minor household repairs.
Preparing meals for him and occasional guests – vegetarian dishes and pescatarian dishes only.
Running errands and collecting deliveries from building concierge
Grocery shopping
Accompanying him to appointments when needed.
Occasional travel to his apartment in the South of France or on a trip to Dubai
Companionship
The ideal candidate
Caring and have a warm disposition.
High standards of housekeeping and food preparation along with an ability to use their own initiative.
Comfortable not eating meat in the home. Fish and seafood is okay.
Driving licence preferable but not essential
