Couple Job Ticino - Switzerland - Organised and Diligent Client
A returning International client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced and energetic Domestic couple for an eight-bedroom private property of architectural importance in Ticino, Switzerland. It is critical that at least one in the couple is a fluent Italian or German speaker. Candidates must also speak fluent English and have an EU passport or the existing right to work in Switzerland (B or C permit).
The family have two children aged 10 and 12 and is not particularly formal but does sometimes entertain. English is the lingua Franca at home.
The family already employ a full-time private chef and a full-time Gardner so it is understood that cooking and gardening will not be the focus of the candidates for this position. However, some experience in these areas will be beneficial as there may be times when assistance is needed in both the kitchen and the garden. The family also employ a nanny who is like a family member so childcare is not required. The need for a domestic couple has become apparent as the client’s long term cleaning lady is due to retire and the family wish to have more areas of Maintenance and DIY covered and improve the private service team further.
The following experience is desirable:
Managing third party contractors
Experience in general Maintenance and DIY
Housekeeping skills and Wardrobe management including laundry and ironing
Experience maintaining a swimming pool
Experience with vehicle care and managing maintenance/paperwork
Driving/Chauffeuring Private clients
Experience with technology (there are professionals on call)
Security-focused people especially when the family travel
This is a live-in position and a two-bedroom gatehouse is provided as an accommodation to the couple free of charge and candidates who have children of their own are unfortunately not encouraged to apply. The family does not wish to consider candidates with pets, unfortunately. The position is based on a five and half day working week however the clients travel often and there is, of course, more downtime during these periods. The role seeks candidates with the flexibility and positive mentality required in the Domestic industry.
Salary: On strength of individual applicants circa CHF 10,000 Gross per month
