We have a fantastic position for a professional and flexible Housekeeper/Cook & Chauffeur couple to join a busy family of 5 (3 children between 12-8 years old) on a beautiful coastal estate in Southampton. There is a small existing team you will be working alongside (including a Caretaker, Gardener, Full time Housekeeper and part time Housekeeper), so it is essential the couple have great attitude and work well with others. Completing the family are 4 dogs (Labradors & Dachshunds)

The ideal couple will be, organised, forward thinkers and have a discreet and helpful attitude. It is very important that one half of the couple is a confident cook and can accommodate diary requirements and allergies and the other half will be mainly driving the family full time.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Formal housekeeping, care of delicate items and fine furnishings. (there are also two other  housekeepers)

  • Laundry, ironing and fabric care

  • Flower arranging

  • Provisioning for the household

  • Daily family cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner) using fresh produce from the kitchen garden

  • Catering for the occasional dinner party 8-10 people max

  • Occasional babysitting

  • Driving duties (Safely and timely drive the employer to work and back, and to occasions

  • Safely drive the employer’s relatives, visitors, business partners and associates to and from places authorised by the employer

  • Vehicle maintenance

  • Interior and exterior maintenance and DIY

  • Assisting in the garden when required 

  • Dog care

Start date: May

Working week: 5 days a week, days off are Tuesday and Wednesday 

Working hours: 50 hours a week, (hours to be discussed directly)

Accommodation:  1.5 bedroom flat provided, all bills included. In the future there might be an opportunity for a 2-bedroom property. One small pet would be considered.

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 gross per annum if you live in the flat.

Driving: Essential that both are confident drivers and have full clean driving licences. A car is provided for work purposes
