Summer Couple Job

Domestic Couple - Cannes 

A returning Client of Greycoat Lumleys who is British and live in the UK or Dubai for roughly 50% of the year is seeking a Domestic couple to work at their property near Cannes.

The client is seeking candidates with extremely good references and people who are fastidious in their Housekeeping standards alongside driven hardworking mentalities. Previous experience in a Private Household is an absolute must. It is important that the candidates speak good English and have the existing right to work in France or EU passports. Due to the nature of the position, the client is not open to candidates with pets or dependents. Candidates must also drive.

The role will require a really motivated couple who can cope with 6 months of a fast-paced changing environment and 6 months where they are afforded far more downtime.

General responsibilities for the position of Summer Couple

INTERIOR:

  • Cleaning interior (managed like a luxury hotel/yacht)

  • Laundry

  • Ironing

  • Cooking and setting table

  • Supermarket and food shopping and lists

  • Maintain wardrobes

  • Organise interior of house (cabinets, wardrobes, kitchen, etc)

  • Cleaning of windows/shutters etc.

  • Manage workers when needed

  • Master bedroom terrace and outdoor furniture

  • Storage areas, wine room and technical rooms inside house on ground floor to be managed, checked and cleaned

EXTERIOR:

  • Super market shopping

  • Driving when needed (airport and pick up/drop offs)

  • Manage house maintenance (list with details available)

  • Take deliveries

  • Oversee security of house (alarm/doorbells/make sure all doors locked etc)

  • Cleaning of Exterior

  • Organising Exterior

  • Terraces and stones/area around pool clean daily

  • Outside Stairs and garden to be maintained and cleaned

  • Furniture to be cleaned and brushed and cushions to be maintained and covered when raining or not in use

  • Pool House and dining BBQ area clean

  • Pool cleaning and brushing/pool robot daily

  • Fountain cleaning and brushing regularly

  • Garden cleaning: use blower to get rid of leaves, work required between gardener visits (Gardener visits: Tuesday and Fridays)

  • Watering of plant pots and other areas if needed

  • Garage to be cleaned

  • Cars to be cleaned regularly

  • All technical and tool rooms on exterior and garage to be clean and organize

The job comes with a lovely newly refurbished apartment of around 100 square metres and a separate entrance.  

A French work contract with paid annual leave subject to one month’s probation is offered to successful applicants.
