Live Out OR Live In Housekeeper Job in Belgravia

A lovely client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking to hire an energetic and dynamic Housekeeper to join their team. This is a semi-formal household where the couple has multiple dogs so the candidate must be animal-friendly however there is a full-time dog-nanny employed.

The ideal candidate for this role will be flexible and have plenty of initiative. You will also be flexible to travel several times a year but for no longer than a few weeks at any given time. You need to have good English and communication skills, be well-presented and discreet, dog friendly, and have excellent standards and prior experience with UHNW households. Longevity in all previous roles is essential.

Duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Cleaning to a high standard
  • General laundry and ironing including daily laundry, ironing and change of towels plus weekly change of bedding
  • Clothing care - washing, ironing and steaming plus organising clothes, shoes, etc. to dry cleaners, cobblers, etc.
  • Maintain up-keep of furniture, art, china, collectibles, crystal, and silver polishing
  • Keeping the house clean and tidy throughout the day
  • Keeping a constant supply of household essentials (water, coffee, etc.) and cleaning materials
  • Assistance with luggage, packing and unpacking for journeys
  • Preparing for the arrival of visitors and various needs when staying
  • Shopping and ad hoc errands as required
  • Co-ordinating deliveries and maintenance visits
  • Occasional dog walks and feeds when dog nanny is on holiday
  • Maintenance when principals are not in residence
  • Being able to travel is essential - for a couple of weeks here and there, where necessary, but not for exceedingly long periods of time
  • BONUS:  Cooking simple, tasty, classic meals 

House: Large 4 storey house with 4 bedrooms

Days & Hours: Monday – Friday 10am – 7pm in London but must be flexible and willing to adapt to occasional changes in days and hours (mostly when you travel with the couple)

Accommodation: 2 bed flat

Salary: £Negotiable for the right person between £45,000 - 50,000 gross per annum depending on experience
