Chef Job New York base

A very interesting an influential client of Greycoat Lumleys based in NYC but with properties worldwide is seeking a private chef to be based in NYC with occasional travel to LA and the Hamptons. Accommodation is provided in the Hamptons and in LA but not in NYC. 

The ideal candidates will be energetic and unattached in the prime of their career with few external commitments. Passionate about food and produce and with the ability to cater largely to the Mediterranean diet of the two principals who are influential in their own right and both have successful careers. The client goes through stages of often entertaining important guests and can be very social with high profile visitors but also often dining out sometimes 4 times per week.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of confidence in all areas of cuisine and have been trained in a restaurant environment having also worked in private service. The successful candidates will also need to have the existing right to work in the USA and verifiable references proving their abilities in the kitchen.

The role comes with a competitive package and a salary guideline of between $150,000 and $200,000. If the candidate does not already have accommodation in New York, then this can be discussed. Healthcare and 401k are provided with annual leave of between 8 and 10 weeks. The client approximates that up to four months of each year they will not be in residence due to travel and business commitments and that the chef will have very minimal duties. Their will be occasional travel to to other US properties with this role including the Hamptons. 

The position requires flexibility to travel between NYC and LA with no pets or dependents to worry about. 

The job is an interesting position for the right candidate as the Principals are on their boat 8 weeks per year, including all major holidays, and travel to Euorpe another 4 weeks per year, so anyone in the job has a lot of time off. Further they dine our go out half the nights of the week in NY.

Salary:Between $150,000 and $200,000 dependent on experience and candidate match
