Job Title: Private Household Japanese Chef Location: Belgravia, London, United Kingdom Position Type: Full-Time (5 Days per Week – Flexible Schedule) Overview A private family of four based in Belgravia is seeking a skilled and experienced Japanese Chef to join their household team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic, high-quality Japanese cuisine for the family while working alongside two existing household chefs who specialise in Indian cuisine. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef with strong experience in traditional Japanese cooking who enjoys working in a private household environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare fresh, high-quality Japanese meals for a family of four on a daily basis Design and plan seasonal menus featuring a variety of Japanese dishes Prepare sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, and other traditional Japanese cuisine Work collaboratively with two existing household chefs specialising in Indian cuisine Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, organisation, and food safety Source premium ingredients and manage relevant kitchen inventory Adapt menus and meals to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements Cook for occasional family events or small gatherings Kitchen Setup A dedicated teppanyaki grill will be installed in the household kitchen, allowing the chef to prepare teppanyaki-style meals for the family and guests. Schedule 5 working days per week (flexible days depending on family schedule) Flexibility required for occasional evening meals and special occasions Travel The chef may be required to travel with the family to Europe on occasion. Perm Chef Job

One day a week Private Chef – Saturdays – Notting Hill- Indian Cuisine  A lovely family, represented by Greycoat Lumleys, is seeking a Private Chef for their fully staffed household in Notting Hill. The position is live-out and only on Saturday. The household consists of five family members, including children under the age of 15. The family requires the candidate to cook traditional Indian cuisine. Dietary considerations within the household include vegetarian and pescatarian preferences, as well as a nut allergy, so experience accommodating special diets is essential. Key Responsibilities: Preparing daily meals for the family, including a late breakfast/lunch served at 10:00 AM and dinner at 5:30 PM. Cooking a daily staff lunch. Maintaining exceptionally high culinary standards in line with Michelin-level experience. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience as a private household chef, with a minimum of 2 years' longevity in a similar role. Trained to a Michelin standard or equivalent high-end culinary background. Confident in preparing a variety of global cuisines with a focus on fresh, seasonal, and healthy ingredients. Comfortable working in a fully staffed environment and collaborating with household staff. Flexible, discreet, and professional. Holds an Enhanced DBS certificate (required). Sous Chef Job – Scotland - Sutherland Scottish Highlands Greycoat Lumley's client are seeking Sous Chefs for their locations in the Highlands of Scotland.  You will be part of a team who strive to do the best they can and ensure a memorable experience for all guests.  The properties have nature at its heart, with access to the finest local produce from the sea to the hill, their focus is on providing exceptional food in its simplest form using fresh, local and sustainably sourced ingredients. Candidates can expect open fire cooking, hearty outdoor bothy BBQ experiences, family style dining, seasonal highlights, whilst delivering innovative meals and experiences. The chef team is a close knit, supportive group that is growing who all thrive on continuously pushing boundaries for small groups of discerning guests. Key Responsibilities Implement the culinary vision of the Head Chef in relation to the venue Deliver an interactive “chef’s table” experience for the guests by engaging with them at the point of dish finishing and presentation, explaining each dish and answering their questions Collaborate with the Head Chef in reviewing guest preferences ahead of their planned visit and create dishes and meals that accommodate specific requests, allergies and dietary or faith requirements Discuss with guests on arrival all planned menus and adapt with positivity to any late changes to preferences Partner with Head Chef in the planning of supplies, taking cognisance of the remote location of our venues Build strong relationships with local suppliers in order to access local ingredients of the highest quality Comfortable moving between busy and quiet periods and utilising the latter in a positive way e.g. team development, new menu development etc Supervise the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff, ensuring that a “one team” approach is always maintained and that everyone works collaboratively to provide the best guest experience, and to support each other Support other parts of the estate as required Embrace the ethos and values of the estate and ensure that direct reports do likewise Behave as a custodian of the carefully crafted culture, taking personal responsibility for engaging positively with all team members and demonstrating respect for their contribution Place a high value on health and safety and encourage others to do likewise To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate chef with proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, ideally within a private Chef environment, or a fine dining ‘Chef’s Table’ set up.
