Assistant Houseparent Job

Assistant Houseparent Job I am working with a co-educational, day and boarding school with pupils aged 4-18. They are situated in the historic town in North Wales. The school has 37 acres of pitches, parkland and play areas and beautiful views across an area of outstanding natural beauty. They are seeking to appoint two dynamic individuals to assist in the running of either of their boarding houses of international pupils (Year groups 5-10 and Year groups 11-13). You will be responsible to the House Parent and Head of Boarding; accommodation and term-time meals will be provided. You will have at least two years' experience as a live-in part of a boarding team and be willing to work weekends on a rota basis.  You will have the opportunity to join in fully with the life of the school. Alongside high academic expectations they have an excellent Learning Through The Outdoors programme, an active music department, a CCF unit and they run all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The school runs a full programme of extra-curriculum activities and sports teams. Candidates with EAL, ALN or Teaching Assistant qualifications would be welcome to apply. One Assistant House Parent will also be the Well-Being and Healthcare Assistant and would be responsible for overseeing First Aid and Mental Health First Aid across the school. Primarily though they are looking for a hard-working individual who is organised, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the needs of our wonderful group of international high-achieving boarders.  Accommodation: Provided within the grounds and is free of charge. After-School Nanny Job

After-School Nanny Position – West Brompton, London A warm and welcoming family in West Brompton is seeking a fun, caring, and experienced after-school nanny for their two children: a 5-year-old boy who is passionate about dinosaurs, and an 8-year-old daughter with a love for gymnastics. The ideal candidate will have a background in education to assist with homework and a desire to form a lasting bond with the family. Key Responsibilities: School drop-off and pick-up Assisting with homework and supporting educational enrichment activities Organizing and preparing the children for the following school day Preparing meals for the children Tidying up after the children Engaging the children in fun, creative arts and crafts activities Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:30 am – 8:30 am (school drop-off) Monday: 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm Tuesday: 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm Wednesday: 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm Friday: 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm (approx.) Short Term Nanny Job

Short Term Nanny, Kent, 27th November 2024 – May 2025 A client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a warm, calm and discreet temporary nanny to look after her two children who are currently 8 months and 2 years old.   The role is focused on the younger child as the older child has her own nanny during the day. The younger child is currently waking once or twice in the night but is moving to a solid dinner in the next month and the current maternity nurse thinks he should be sleeping through the night by the start of the role. The older child sleeps through 19:00 – 5:30. Experience with similar aged children, a DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service and an up to date first aid certificate are all essential for this role. Housemistress Job A client of ours is looking for a Housemistress to join their boarding house team to start in November 2024. This is a fabulous opportunity to join an independent school set in 45 acres overlooking stunning countryside. The role would work closely with the pastoral team and report directly to the head of boarding. This role is a non-teaching appointment. The Role Looking after the medical and domestic duties within the house Dealing with the girls' individual problems and keeping in close contact with parents, the head of boarding, the headmistress and other staff as appropriate/necessary Promoting and encouraging the girls to enjoy the co-curricular programme, homework and general life supervision on weekends and after prep in the evenings. The Housemistress and her team eat in the dining room with the girls in a supervisory capacity and ensure that girls eat sensibly Developing a sense of community and encouraging the girls to make positive suggestions to improve boarding for all and responding to such suggestions Overseeing the arrangements for chapel or church attendance for boarders who are in school on a Sunday and accompanying them Working with the house team to supervise and direct house tutors, work in partnership with the bursar and take responsibility for the house accounts and the girls' own pocket money Checking all weekend, exeat, half-term and end of term travel arrangements Keeping the lines of communication open between the house team, parents and other departments within the school as necessary Attending meetings as required and be thoroughly conversant with the school policies and procedures particularly those relating to Safeguarding, Anti- Bullying, Fire, Health and Safety You Have a degree and teaching qualification; BSA boarding certificate (desirable but not essential) Be a compassionate and dynamic and have a genuine desire to take on the often challenging role of guiding and supporting girls of this age group Have the ability to balance the running of the boarding house whilst remaining approachable and open to the pupils Have enthusiasm, adaptability and resilience, drive, energy and stamina Have the ability to reflect, review and refine in order to provide the best possible boarding experience for the pupils Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team within the boarding house, across the wider boarding community and across the school community as a whole Have a sense of humour Have an awareness of the importance of child protection and safeguarding of young people Have an ability to exercise total discretion and uphold confidentiality, when appropriate For more details, a full job specification can be sent over to applicants Start:  November 2024 Salary:  £21,102 (FTE £26,198)  Accommodation:  Rent free two bedroom accommodation is provided, which may be occupied all year round. Senior Groundsperson Job

Senior Grounds Person Role I am working with a school that has a 10-acre playing field, the largest square in Central London, which allows for pupils to engage in sport close to where they study. The playing field is comprised of cricket pitches, football pitches, along with tennis courts of both and tarmac and artificial grass surfaces. In addition, there is an activity area with apparatus within close proximity. The grounds staff are expected to maintain the School’s playing surfaces and surrounding areas to the highest of standards, with the supervision of the Head Groundsperson. Main Responsibilities Grounds maintenance duties, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, weeding, tractor operation, ride-on and pedestrian machinery. Initial marking and overmarking of sports areas such as football pitches, cricket squares and athletic tracks. Maintain artificial / synthetic playing areas. Horticultural operations, including ground preparation, planting, turfing, seeding and pruning. Assemble and dismantle sports equipment, ensuring it is maintained to a high standard. Liaise closely with games staff and external parties to ensure the availability of sports pitches and equipment, in the absence of the Head Groundsperson Arrange the correct provision of sports kits for the various teams, via liaison with the school’s Site Services. Hours of Work This is a full-time role, equating to 37.5 hours per week, including a requirement to work Saturdays on rotation (equating to 13 Saturdays to be worked per year). Hours worked in addition to those above will be paid at the standard overtime rates.
