Amazing Couple Job - Algarve, Portugal - Discerning client - good salary - seeking active candidates
A new UHNW Client of Greycoat Lumleys with an incredible property in the Algarve, Portugal is seeking a switched on and energetic Domestic couple.
The client who is a single male with children is seeking a Domestic couple to take care of all daily household duties and this is an immediate need with a start date before the end of the year. The client has properties in London, Paris and spends most of his winter in Aspen. The client often travels and there are always family or friends travelling with him, the plan can change at the drop of a hat and its important to be relative to a changing travel plan.
This position will require active candidates with thick skins and who place the needs of their principal above their own, who can be reactive and have detailed housekeeping and attention to detail.
Daily responsibilities of the Houskeeper:
Detail oriented daily cleaning
Wardrobe management/packing
Inventory tracking
Proactive issue resolution
Assisting the House manager with vendors and outside contractors
Perform morning housecleaning
Laundry duties based on proper garment maintenance including any items in need of dry cleaning.
Organization of wardrobes, drawers, shoes, etc.
Window cleaning
Vacuuming & Dusting
Daily Responsibilities of Houseman:
Detail oriented
Inventory tracking
Proactive issue resolution
Ensure Vehicles are
always fuelled and cleaned (exterior/interior)
Ensure bottled water and tissues are stocked.
Prepare car for Principals’ needs day or evening.
Check, clean, and re-hang to dry Charge equipment as needed.
Responsible for garbage runs and recycling separation
Check swimming pool, spa and Cold Plunge
Drive when needed
Water plants
Help housekeeper as needed, including:
Window washing
Outdoor cleaning
Dry cleaning runs
Additional vacuuming
Kitchen help
Wash dishes as needed
Set and clear table
Run/clear dishwasher
The client visits the property for roughly 10 days each month and when he is in residence it is unlikely that the couple will get the same day off. The successful couple will have to stagger the days off so that someone is working each day that the client is in residence. Please note that this role is offered with accommodation at not additional cost to the candidates. Accommodation is in a recently refurbished Apartment with access to a shared Swimming Pool. The accommodation is shared with the House manger however and therefore the successful couple will have to share living spaces and kitchen with one other person or seek their own local accommodation.
The property is located in Salema which is a relatively easy commute from Lagos and the role is offered on a standard 5 day working week when the client is not in residence.
The position also brings considerable downtime and time to enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. The weather is this corner of Portugal can be 20 Celsius and sunny in December and is very hot in summer. However, all priority is given to the property and its cleanliness when the client is staying and this is imperative to understand. Hand on and sleeves up cleaning skills in a relatively informal environment are required for this role.
