Overview
A private principal, Chantelle, a single lady of good reputation, is seeking an experienced domestic couple to act as property guardians and caretakers for a rural estate in the countryside near Quillan. The principal resides at the property for approximately three months per year and has previously employed domestic couples.
The role is primarily focused on maintenance, security, and general property care, with some light domestic assistance when guests are in residence.

- Guest house
- Guardian house
- Guardian accommodation provided separately on the property
- Guardian house includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Property Care
- General maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds
- Painting of walls and general touch-ups
- Cleaning and maintaining gutters
- Maintaining pathways and exterior areas
- Monitoring the property from a security perspective
Gardening
- General gardening and grounds care (not professional level required)
- Willingness to work outdoors and maintain the land
Domestic Support
- Occasional assistance in the kitchen
- Cleaning and support when guests are present
- Coordination with the dedicated local housekeeper, who already services the main house
Candidate Profile
- Domestic couple, ideally active and outgoing
- Enjoy countryside living and a rural lifestyle
- Hospitality mindsets and experience with a private family
- Housekeeping, cooking driving and property maintenance experience
- Responsible, discreet, and trustworthy as well as positive and upbeat
- Comfortable working independently while liaising with third parties
Language & Legal Requirements
- French required (must be able to communicate with contractors and third parties)
- French employment contracts provided

- A dog is acceptable if friendly
- There is already a small Dachshund on the property when the Lady is in residence and some Pet care will be required form the couple.

- This position is from a maintenance and guardianship perspective with additional housekeeping and guest readiness at all times.
